YOUTH MENTORING
Our goal for 2011 is to provide youth homework assistance,
computer lab, and summer camp. We also provide life skills
training and mentoring services for youth who are at-risk of
dropping out of school, joining a gang, or becoming part of the
judicial system.
Our community service relationships with NCCU, and Duke
University will help provide student volunteers. These
students are majoring in Math, Science, Education, and
Recreation.
These volunteers will provide academic assistance to the
youth participants, while sharing with our after school
participants the importance of a college education.
The workshops are taught by professionals who want to give back to the community by donating their time while sharing their life experiences.
These professionals share their professional backgrounds, and the steps required to become a successful man or woman.
