The Mentoring Program will be maintained through private donations, and corporate
sponsorships. With our nonprofit status (501c3) we will actively pursue federal, state,
and local grants to help maintain this at-risk youth program.
Youth talent shows, and community outreach events, will help raise awareness
for our afterschool, and summer camp services. The local media will be utilized to
request donations, locate volunteers, and to inform families about our youth mentoring
services.
Our client base is children from 6 to 17 years of age. Over 85% of the participants
will come from low income and/or single parent households. About 25% of our
participants are referred by family service agencies, and about 10% of the children
may have learning or behavioral disabilities.
